Case study

Together with designers, UX specialists and developers, we developed a new web page for the Red Cross branch in Rzeszów. Creating a website for the Polish Red Cross was a great opportunity to positively impact the region. The Red Cross is a well-known humanitarian organization that provides blood donation services, supports vulnerable communities, and actively works with refugees from Ukraine in the Lower Carpathians region.

The Lower Carpathians Red Cross website will allow the organization to reach a wider audience, increase awareness of its mission and programs, and provide a platform for raising funds and recruiting volunteers. The main idea was to restore the website and make it convenient, visually attractive and easy to use. The priority also was to develop a page with accessibility so that all users, including those with disabilities, can access and use its functions.

Project development

01
First step

During the first stage of the project, we conducted UI analysis. As an example, we selected pages of the Polish Red Cross and other regional centers. Based on this analysis, a structure was created using good UX practices. Ready documentation and mockups of the future website were prepared in Figma.

02
Second step

In the second stage, we worked on the design development. The primary purpose of the design was to create a website comfortable for any group of users. The main requirement was also the similarity with the page of the Polish Red Cross. The whole process was based on the structure created at the first stage and implemented in Figma.

03
Third step

The third stage was implementation. The whole process was done on WordPress. To create a unique product, we have adopted a creative approach. Customs solution in implementation of social services, interactive map and validation of the form. The website was integrated with the CMS system, which allows the administrator to easily change and update content on the page.

04
Fourth step

In the last stage, we prepared a manual for using the CMS system and transferring the website project to the domain.

05
Fifth step

Thanks to the fact that the previous stages of creating the website were quick and successful, the client came back to us with a request to extend the website with new functionalities. At this stage, our task was to integrate the website with WooCommerce. Hubert, the WordPress Developer, created a store profile for ticket sales, connected the store to the PayU payment gateway, and integrated various payment methods. The home page was updated to include an interactive banner and information about upcoming events. We provided full support for handling the first transactions.

"Polish Red Cross is a humanitarian institution that helps people in need, I am glad that I could contribute something from myself to this project and it will help many people. As Quality Assurance I was responsible for the quality of this project, what more can I say is definitely the application is very intuitive and user friendly."

Hubert Cep
WordPress Developer

"It was a pleasure for me to work on this project. Throughout the duration of the project, each of the team showed great commitment and attention to the smallest details. Rarely is it possible to combine the involvement of the team with the involvement of the client, who is responsible for providing the necessary materials and accepting changes. In this case, the two parties worked very well together, which resulted in a quick and comprehensive implementation with full professionalism. For me as a WordPress Developer it was a very valuable experience."

Natalia Boyko
Junior Project Manager

"This project taught me that the relationship in the team plays a key role in the realization of any task. Thanks to the good communication with the client and the team’s agreement we managed to refresh the page for Red Cross in two weeks. Of course, the organization of working hours is an important aspect, and the process of organization was easier due to the good atmosphere."

Paweł Zienkiewicz
